Travel to three idyllic islands in the Maldives
Kuramathi, Velassaru and Kandolhu are ideal for a family, group or couple.
Excerpt:
The only downside to staying on a resort in the Maldives is you can never quite believe it’s real. This is particularly true when your ‘hotel’ is in fact an entire island with fine white sand, lush foliage and colourful birds all around. The Indian Ocean stretches out ahead of my room on Kandolhu island. All is can see is deepening shades of azure in all directions from the shore, with a stunning reef nearby.
Having just reopened in February 2014, Kandolhu boasts slick, modern European architecture throughout. Guests can enjoy a gorgeous library and telescope for peaceful and crystal-clear stargazing.
I spent one heavenly night in a two-storey duplex pool villa. It was a home from home stretching from an outdoor bathroom at the back all the way to the sea. It came complete with a kitchenette, bar, large double bedroom and stunning top-floor balcony.

Culinary wonders and chic hotels in Barbados
Elegant Hotels’ yacht parties, rum shop tours and cooking demos.
Excerpt:
I roll off the plane, into a taxi, into the shower, into a bikini and onto a yacht in the space of about an hour. Paradise waits for no-one, as I discover arriving late to join a group trip to Elegant Hotels’ latest offerings in west coast Barbados. I’ve had about an hour’s sleep on the flight and feel sluggish and in need of refreshment on arrival into Bridgetown airport.
But once I am on board the Seaduced chartered vessel with rum punch in hand and dancehall classics soundtracking the sunset, all worries disappear and I feel right at home.
I jump in the ocean and swim with a few young turtles. One sociable baby keeps circling me and bobbing its head out the water, engaging in synchronised play. It’s one of the most magical moments I can recall. Vegan summer rolls are served as snacks while we sip champagne, laugh and party until evening. Then we tuck into a beautiful spread of salads and local delicacies laid out on the yacht’s dining table.

From house to holistic absolution at Chic Ibiza Villas
Exclusive concierge service grants your every wish for an outrageously glamorous experience.
Excerpt:
For people who haven’t done Ibiza before and think it seems like hard work, here’s a little secret – it can be really easy to navigate. You can explore much of what the ultimate party island has to offer with the help of Chic Ibiza Villas’ exclusive concierge service.
I visit for a long weekend and find out why hedonists continue to flock here seeking house music and holistic absolution decades on.
The ying and yang balance the White Isle is famous for comes into synergy as I find myself, as if by magic, doing a handstand on the poolside decking of a villa, which a few hours later hosts the biggest house party I’ve been to in years.
