Fancy a relaxing retreat in London? Novotel Hotels are a couples dream
Read on for our review of the stunning Novotel Hotel. Gorgeous rooms, wonderful swimming pools and a menu to die for.
My boyfriend and I recently celebrated our sixth month anniversary. As you all know I have just qualified as a Personal Trainer and am very excited to announce that I have officially become the face of Fe Gym in Whitechapel… (Yay!) You can book me as a Personal Trainer at vickyhadley@outlook.com.

That being said as you can imagine it has been pretty crazy these past few weeks with 5am starts and not stopping until 10pm. So, for our anniversary we decided there was nothing we fancied more than unwinding with a relaxing spa weekend.
Cue Novotel Hotels who completely blew all of my expectations out of the water.
We headed to Novotel located in Blackfriars a short walk from Blackfriars tube station after a day of filming at Fe. The lobby was a modern interior with a conjoining international cuisine based restaurant, ‘Jamboree Foodfest and bar’. We were greeted in the reception area and given a key to our room.
Heading up in the lift we entered our room situated on floor nine and excitedly opened the door – (snapchatting and screaming in excitement). The bedroom was modern and classy with a posh looking ensuite and a large rainfall blackout glass shower, which we later found out turned see through looking into the bedroom – a nice little surprise for couples (but maybe not for friends!)…

The food...
We freshened up and headed to dinner in the restaurant below. Jamboree is a brightly coloured, quirky restaurant that contrasts against the classy lobby. There is something for everyone on the menu – seriously, even ‘gluten free, nut free, mostly plant-based, health freak, annoying diners’, like me.
I opted for the gluten free sweet potato fries and a black bean burger without the bun and a guacamole and tahini salad which honestly tasted to die for.
In the morning we returned to the restaurant for a buffet style breakfast. From fresh fruit and berries to an english fry up we filled our plates to the brim to prepare ourselves for a relaxing day of gym-ing and spa-ing.
The gym and spa...
The gym has a bright zen vibe to it with forest trees pictured along the back of the wall and treadmills lined up in front. There is also a small weights area which Josh and I managed to get a few good sets in before leaving to recline and rest in the pool area.
The swimming pool area is equally as inviting as the gym. With a large pool and a warm built in jacuzzi which massaged out our aching back muscles. We dipped in and out of the jacuzzi combining it with 10 minute sessions in the sauna dreaming of warmer days.
All in all I don’t think I could have found a nicer way to spend my anniversary – if you’re looking for a detoxing date, couples retreat or fitness trip away in London then look no further.
*I was invited as a guest to Novotel but as usual all views and opinions are strictly my own.*
